Privacy Policy

October 25, 2020

Welcome to, my internet home. I want you to feel safe and welcome. I protect this site with SSL (encryption) and robust security software while working hard to protect your privacy.

What personal data I collect and why

When visitors leave comments on my site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also information about their IP address and their browser. I ask a company called CleanTalk to check over your information to make sure you are legit. Keeping this website free from spam helps us have important conversations without interruptions.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

Just like with a comment, CleanTalk checks over your contact requests before sending them to me through regular email channels.

My subscription forms are hosted on my website. I don’t share your information with anyone else, other than CleanTalk.

If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

I use Google Analytics to tell me more information about how you interact with my website. This helps me design better content for you and make sure you have a good experience when you come to visit.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Just send me a message requesting to be removed through my contact form and I’ll make sure it gets handled.

Changes to this policy

If I make any changes to this policy, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
